  1. Digital Echoes has a useful combination of effects: 3x Delay, Reverb, EQ and ‘Dimension’.
The delays work as expected, except that there is a knob labeled “distance” which is really the delay “feedback”. Just using the delays is possible to create a nice spacious feeling for an instrument whilst avoiding overcrowding the mix with too much reverb. Would be nice to have a knob to pan each delay. The delays can also create nice syncopated melodies from simple lines.
With Reverb and Delay it is possible to create a really spacious feeling. Usually low wet values for the delays and reverb will work best, except in the cases where you really want to drawn the mix in reverb 🙂
As for the EQ, I like the ability to just add bands and select the filter type. However, I was expecting the EQ to apply only to the wet signal, or maybe the feedback lines. Instead I found that it is a pre-EQ, that applies to the ‘dry’ signal. This is surprising because of the placement of the EQ on the interface (I would expect a Pre-EQ to be top left on the interface) and also because that is not how you would expect an EQ to behave in a delay plugin (you want to filter the wet signal, not the dry). – This means that if you want to cut high and low frequencies to create a lo-fi delay, you end up filtering the whole signal (dry + wet). IT is OK once you get used to it. – SUGGESTION: Add a button to select EQ placement as pre or post.
Dimension is interesting. It can create stereo from mono signals (set different delays to left and right) and Slap and Stereo to >0 ) or you can use it to create a comb filtering effect (different delays for left and right, Slap >0 and Stereo = 0 ).
If at least one of the delays is set to zero, this effect creates an echo (switch everything else off and try it!).
Also worth pointing out that if you set Stereo to 0 on the Dimension module to use it as a comb filter only, you can still create stereo from a mono signal by switching on the Reverb module and increasing the width.
I commented previously on the puzzling signal flow. – the signal flow does seem to be in ‘reverse’ of the GUI layout: Dimension and EQ seem to come first, then Reverb and finally the 3 parallel Delay lines…

I like the plugin, can create useful effects quickly, but I think the signal flow and knobs labelled “distance” instead of “feedback” will confuse some users.

  2. Super Plugin, ich nutze es gern.

  3. Don’t like it. Think it is missing key features essential to delays that should be standard for all delay vsts

    • Hi Antoine,

Could you elaborate on this? It would be helpful to know the features you are looking for.

      Best,

      Aaron

  4. nice plugin and very low cpu use

  5. It’s fun to create sounds because you can use three Delay, Reverb, and EQ functions on one screen.
